Children able to walk to school safely

It's taken 25 years, but now children in Wraxall have a safe walking route to school.

The road between The Grove in Wraxall and the local primary school is treacherous to walk. Walkers and school children will now be able to walk between the school and the Grove thanks to permission from local landowners, funding from North Somerset Council, and the hard work of local Parish Councillors.

The Chair of Wraxall and Failand Parish Council hosted the opening ceremony on 1st October where the daughter of one of the local landowners, herself a pupil at Wraxall Primary School, cut the ribbon and officially opened the path.

I was pleased to play a small part in this, securing the necessary funding and co-operation from North Somerset Council.
